What Happened?
On Tuesday, June 17th, we launched an enhanced ion8 Call Connector experience, migrating users from the native Clio-to-Dialpad integration, also known as Dialpad Talk (which is being discontinued) to our Call Connector app. Unfortunately, this transition revealed some technical challenges that impacted your experience:
- Difficulty completing the ion8 Call Connector signup process.
- Issues upgrading from free to paid licenses.
- Endless spinning wheels during setup.
- Problems during the phone number synchronization process.
We understand how frustrating these issues have been, and we sincerely apologize for the disruption they have caused to your workflow. We take full responsibility for not delivering the smooth transition you deserved.
What We've Fixed
Improved Technical Infrastructure
As of Wednesday, June 18th, we have implemented smart token management that prevents system overload, which means that you can now
- Successfully sign up for the ion8 Call Connector and set up your integrations, and
- Upgrade your licenses easily without interruptions.
Bonus Feature Unlocked As part of this upgrade, we are excited to announce that automatic matter association is now available on the Free plan of ion8 Call Connector! This means that when you receive calls from clients, opposing counsel, or other contacts in your legal practice, those call logs will automatically be associated with the related matter in your case management system, saving you valuable time on administrative tasks and ensuring better case documentation.

If you successfully signed up: You're all set! You can now use Call Connector and upgrade to our Way Better plan anytime through the Subscriptions tab in ion8 Connect.
